Ludo is a board game that originated in India and is derived from an ancient Indian game called Pachisi. It bears similarities to the Spanish game "Parchis" and the American game "Parcheesi".

Basic rules for playing Ludo:

• Each player has four tokens.
• The board is set up with each player's tokens on their respective starting spaces.
• Players take turns rolling a dice to determine how many spaces they can move their tokens.
• If a player rolls a six, they get an extra turn.
• Players can move their tokens clockwise around the board.
• If a player lands on a space occupied by one of their opponent's tokens, the opponent's token is sent back to the starting space.
• The first player to get all of their tokens to the center of the board, known as "home," wins the game.
